JANE ULKE RETURNS TO THE INDUSTRY

After taking a career break from the communications industry Jane Ulke has joined Scottish agency Oui3 in the newly created role of client development director.  She took up the role early in July and is focusing on developing Oui3’s client base across the UK and Europe and move the business into new growth sectors.

Oui3, located in Scotland and in France, has an established UK and European client base offering brand communications, design, packaging and digital in sectors covering corporate, food and drinks, leisure, health and medical.  Clients include, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Ethicon, Wessex and Freshlink Foods, Brodies of Edinburgh, Cumbrian Seafoods and NHS.

Gary Haston, managing director of Oui3 said: “Jane has many years experience in broad based communications and has driven planning and creative for iconic brands such as Scottish Widows, visitscotland, Tesco Personal Finance, SRU, Scottish SSPCA and high profile not for profit campaigns.  She has a solid grounding in digital and direct response and a wealth of business contacts across Scotland and the UK and her appointment extends our strategic offer to clients.

Oui3 enlisted the services of Newcastle-based advertising, marketing and digital media recruitment specialist, Concept Personnel, to help shape the job specification and find the right candidate for its new, high-profile role.

Before her career break, Ulke headed up Rapp Edinburgh for almost 2 years (previously WWAV Rapp Collins) where she was in charge of delivering highly measurable campaigns for some of the biggest direct response clients in Scotland. 

Prior to this, for almost 10 years, she ran a strategic communications agency, which she founded in 1995.  The agency provided clients with research, campaign planning, brand and corporate identity development and marketing consultancy. In 2000 she launched an event management consultancy where she made her mark on Scottish Rugby and other sporting occasions by creating ambitious experiential productions to engage customers.”
